Clyde Park Vineyard

clyde park barrel

If you are looking for an easy day trip from Melbourne with a yummy lunch reward at the end, we can highly recommend Clyde Park Vineyard and Bistro at Bannockburn.

Approx 1 hour from the Westgate Bridge, on the way to Ballarat near Geelong, the winery is set on the edge of the rolling landscape, perfect in the Autumn weather to either sit outside and enjoy the view or inside in the unique shed that has been turned into a lovely bistro setting.

The food is a stand out for a winery offering, with on trend dishes like a lobster roll served in a brioche bun, the Confit Duck salad, or perhaps choose from the Wood Fire pizza menu, made to order outside in the courtyard. The wine list is great and reasonably priced, and coffee would stand up in the Melbourne scene.

There is always something going on by the looks of their website, with featured artists and Melbourne Food & Wine Festival events, its worth the easy drive down the Geelong Road.
